Hmm. I had difficulty feeling the emotion here. Or maybe it's less about extreme emotion and more about a resolved feeling, closure. I feel very boxed out as the listener, like the speaker doesn't want to let me in.

No problem! I feel that it's valuable for artists to hear how people respond emotionally to their works :P I definitely encourage you to respond that way to some things I've written; it'll help something in my mind.
