She sits in the middle of the cafeteria
in an illusion of solidarity
the space filled with the noise of a hundred voices
under a light too dim to read with.

She sits alone.

Hmm. I had difficulty feeling the emotion here. Or maybe it's less about extreme emotion and more about a resolved feeling, closure. I feel very boxed out as the listener, like the speaker doesn't want to let me in.

Ooh, okay, I see. Thank you for your comment! This was written mostly as a "feel better" piece. Not much thought went into it. Thank you though, I'll keep that in mind in the future. :D

No problem! I feel that it's valuable for artists to hear how people respond emotionally to their works :P I definitely encourage you to respond that way to some things I've written; it'll help something in my mind.
