Title: To Everything There Is A Season Rating: G Word count: 3937 Notes: Rather nervous about this one, because technically, it's original stuff. During the 14th century, a young woman finds she has an unexpected gift. ( On to the writing. )
Not sure what I can say that's more detailed than that. I would like to make it into an opera but the broad theme's been done a lot - very interesting treatment of it here.
It's one of those themes that usually ends with the happy ending, from what I've seen. Using the spirituality angle just gave it that different slant and complication :)
As for the pair of them, I really loved writing their relationship as well. This was originally meantt as idle backstory and it kind of expanded.
You shouldn't have been so nervous about posting it, it was lovely! You had me crying by the end of it, to boot. Kudos.
My favorite line was definitely "I pride myself on being naughty". I always love seeing different characterizations of Death, and this ranks in my top five.
YAY! :D Inducing tears is always a guilty pleasure ;) (And I confess I sobbed like a baby while writing it!)
Funny thing is that I have a legion of Deaths, all of whom interact with one another. Regional-types. This one is technically one of them and I love him to bits :D
