Farewell, Innocence

The subject of this video is someone I knew in high school. She's a couple of years older than me, and probably couldn't pick me out of a crowd, but back in the day I practically idolized her. I noticed that you linked to the article on Facebook... Thank you for that.

It kills me that she lived in Texas all those years without incident, but got beaten in NYC. Stereotypes, I know, but still... No one deserves this.

That doesn't surprise me. The North makes great noises about how liberal they are, but the reality is that bigotry is alive and well wherever you go. Remind me to tell you about my friend Claryce's experiences in Buffalo some time...
