Ok, time for a rant. I haven't done one in a while.

And don't worry Lindsay, this is not aimed at a particular person or group. This is aimed at a theme/trend.

Ok, this evening's rant is about the commercialization of religion.

First off, I would just like to say WTF???

I didn't know there was a Jewish rapper, I didn't know Jews had Jewish rap. It sounds so unJewish (I know that's horribly cliche/stereotypical of me, but it's true). You all have a that bookwormesque place in my heart.

Yes, it's a bit stereotypical, but there are quite a few stereotypes that are correct.

Yeah, I have quite a few problems with religious pop/rock. If people want to listen to Christian music pick up a cd with hymns on it. If someone wants to listen to Jewish music pick up a cd with Hebrew folk songs on it.

Well.... I think sometimes the themes in Christian muisc are good, because it isn't all about getting drunk or being banged up and down by 50 people and not knowing their names. So, I'm ok with some of it. But most Christian muisc sounds the same is is OVER RATED!!! GRRRRRRR!

Actually, the majority of rock/hard rock/metal isn't that bad.

As far as the message goes, it's not about sex or drugs or anything along those lines.
