I will be doing a new challenge for August: my Nesting Challenge.
I will be preparing my home for our new baby to come home. I am looking forward to taking pictures of my progress and sharing it with you!
I enjoyed participating in the Plastic-Free July Challenge. I also enjoyed sharing it with you, in order to help keep me motivated and accountable.
It was really hard! It ends on Wednesday, and I am so relieved! I’ll post the final results then.
This was my 4th 30-day challenge ever. in the past, I’ve done one for facing my fears, one for quitting complaining, one for wearing a new outfit combination every day of the month, and the plastic-free challenge.
I have decided that I want to do a new challenge for August. I think I’ll call it my Nesting Challenge.
What I plan to do is focus my energy on getting this house in tip-top shape for the baby.
I thought that maybe someone’s past program for cleaning or homemaking would fit my needs, but they don’t. I’m going to instead draw upon several different programs and theories as they fit my priorities.
I’m going to use the trusty old checklist and prioritization method. I made a checklist, and I rated tasks based on their importance. I’m going to start with the absolute most critical tasks, and then move down the list.
Despite my enjoyment of posting my plastic-free challenge, I tend to think that looking at photos of trash is somewhat stressful and boring to see/read about.
I hope that you enjoy my new challenge. I’ll plan on taking photos of my home as I go, which will hopefully be a lot more enjoyable for you than photos of my trash. I’m looking forward to preparing my home (and yard) for the baby’s homecoming.
Love, Me
