Two different friends called me today to say they were locked out and could I pick the lock for them? Two. Independent. Different parts of the bay. What gives? Unfortunately, a combination of transportation issues, bronchitis, and my very rusty locksmith skills meant I had to say no in both cases

Next time you get a request for locksmith related stuff, refer them to Bear, at D&E Lock and Key in Alameda. He would stop by the Plough on Mondays back when we were there and he's a great locksmith.

Thanks for the reminder. Wouldn't have helped this weekend, since the friends are in SF and the bridge is closed. But yeah, I've had many fun conversations about locksmithing with Bear.

Airport - that's all kinds of awesome.
Tophats - oh how I disdain that they never fit in bags!
I've had to wear a tophat in some pretty silly places while commuting with one.
