There are some tours that go there. However I really wanted to see Suzhou, so this one's good for me...

I think it would be so impressive. I want to see all the different faces and get a feel for what it would be like to live then. I also want to hit the hot springs... mmmm

The other one I listed goes from Beijing to Xian to Shanghai. It's $899 per person (for 8 days in the winter) and includes hotel, tour guides, interpreter, and all airfare (from LAX). I think these are really do-able.

But why would it be too late to see the Forbidden City?
