we have to put Mocha down.... were doing it on thursday.  he has terminal kidney disease. i miss him already.

I'm so sorry dude! Did he ever show any symptoms or was this just found during a routine checkup? It seems like this all happened super fast, I'm going to miss him too.

this kind if thing characteristically comes on fast. he just stopped eating and is drooling and wobbly. we took him to the vet and he said his right kidney is almost completely decimated. he has problems his whole life though and dr schneider said this kind of thing runs in breeds like persians and ragdolls. he is almost nine years old and i suppose thats old for a purebred. were just keeping him comfy and feeding him water. shadows not taking it well. i think were going to have to get another kitty to keep her company.

Does this explain the random peeing on floors and such?

That is sad, I hope he has a nice comfy place with lots of lady cats in kitty heaven.

hes been peeing on stuff since he was a kitten, but it might explain why hes been doing it so much lately.

i was so distracted at work today thinking about him that i tried to make coffee without a pot, twice. it was messy. at least we have shadow, if i didn't have any kitties in the house i think i would go crazy.
