You forgot to mention that only 10 minutes a day of being outside in the sun, without sunglasses allows in enough vitamin D for the entire day, and that is absorbed through the eyes. Do not look directly into the sun, or you can burn your retnas/eyeballs. :)

Your body produces 160,000 IU of Vitamin D when you are stark naked in the sun for just 2 minutes. If you can't get out in the sun, a tanning salon can provide that source of UV radiation required for the production of Vitamin D.

Your body regulates excess vitamin D by triggering melanin to form to darken the skin like natural blinds - hence how people tan.

Overexposure to the sun is bad since it turns the skin leathery, but just the right amount without sunblock is ideal.

You can't get vitamin D through glass nor when wearing sunblock or sunglasses. Some people think sitting in their office with the sun streaming in is doing them some good when its worse than useless!

I agree.. a lot of people have severe depression during the winter months and the 10 minutes of just going outside with your eyes uncovered, is what I was refering to, because they can be fully clothed.. I don't think many people go out naked..giggling...during the summer, let alone the winter/snow time.

How are you..? Haven't seen you lately.

I've been rather busy working and haven't had that much to write about.

I'm still single and gradually getting more and more annoyed when I write messages to people on dating sites and know they have looked at my profile but don't respond.

I'm still doing the healing course at the church, and have another 60 weeks of that still to do, and every person I heal I become more confident and my healing ability improves.

I just recommended Galixie to read this journal entry.. I told her that you were very enlightened. She seems to be having issues with absorbing pill form vitamin D. So, I am hoping that she reads your article.

The entry was set friends only, so she wouldn't have been able to see it. I've set it public view now.
