You'd think that coming back to NYEC wouldn't be such a big deal, but that was the first time I went back to Austin in almost 8 months - since I moved. I am depressed. Well, for one thing, everytime I think about Eric and Kate's wedding I start tearing up (which is RIDICULOUS - I'm ( Read more... )

yeah - it totally is.

My house in French Place got a 72 and my current Apt in Brooklyn has a 82 - so I was lying. BUT it is misleading because the quality of stuff near me in Austin was better. (Quacks! Monarch Mart!)

82 here, but clearly Rainey is better for actually walking to places.

The place I lived that month in Manhattan has a 98, whoa djuude.

Parent's house gets a 12.

Old Forrester got a 54.

I lived on the edge of nowhere.

The area is REALLY developed compared to how it used to be. It was an almost 15 minute drive to Movie Shack, the closest video rental store. We also had a grocery store, a liquor store, a gas station, and a few local restaurants. Eventually fast food places and blockbuster moved in, but not for a long time.

Also they're making 146 into a freeway, so they're going to have to bulldoze every store on the west side of it, reducing the number of businesses there even further.
