15 Multi-fandom drabbles
Meh, I'm bored. I wrote these over the summer, but never got around to posting them. They're music drabbles - you have the length of the song to write the fic. Oh, and there's no slash since I was writing with my sister. Let me know if you like them! :)
1) Sydney & Vaughn (Alias), I feel Pretty - West Side Story, 3:36
Dixon eyed Sydney as she sat at her desk. “I’ve seen that look before,” he said.
“What?” Sydney looked up innocently.
“You’re glowing again.”
“I’m not glowing,” Sydney responded as expected.
“You’re dressed up too,” Dixon said, smiling as he inspected her.
Sydney just smiled and peered up at Vaughn.
2) Luke & Lorelai (Gilmore Girls), Wouldn’t it be Loverly - My Fair Lady, 4:20
Lorelai sighed as she sat in the diner with her usual cup of coffee. She mused over the most recent money problems and wondered if things would ever be different. If she’d just gone through with the wedding, Max would have been there and she and Rory could have been living easy. Now…well, maybe that would never happen. Luke came up to pour her another cup of coffee. “What’s up?” he asked, concern in his voice. Lorelai met his gaze. Then again…
3) Shawn & Jules (Psych), G.N.O. (Girl’s Night Out) - Miley Cyrus, 3:38
Jules downed another glass of wine, grinning as she listened to her friends chatter drunkenly around her. This was a good distraction-she wasn’t going to waste any more time thinking about HIM. After a few more drinks, though, she started to feel slightly depressed. Why couldn’t I have just gone through with it, she wondered. He was right there in front of me.
4) Tosh & Owen (Torchwood), What Hurts the Most - Rascal Flatts, 3:34
What hurt the most was that he just never got it, or at least he never owned up to it. She tried time and time again-she had so much she wanted to say, but whenever the chances actually appeared, she just couldn’t go through with it. She watched him with Gwen, and Diane, and wondered what was wrong with her that he never picked her.
5) Michael & Fi (Burn Notice), We Can Work it Out - The Beatles, 2:15
“We can work it out,” Fi insisted, rubbing a hand lightly down Michael’s arm. He shivered involuntarily at the touch as memories flashed across his mind. He felt himself waver as she looked at him pleadingly. “Try to see it my way,” she begged.
6) Jack & Gwen (Torchwood), I Got Nerve - Hannah Montana, 3:06
Jack grinned at Gwen, and she couldn’t help smiling back. Well, he’s got nerve, she thought. As if he could read her mind, he winked knowingly and offered his arm for her to hold onto. She ducked her head and took it. Nerve indeed.
7) Mary & Marshall (In Plain Sight), All You Need is Love - The Beatles, 3:47
Mary ground her teeth in irritation and changed the radio station. First her mom and her sister, and now the Beatles. How many times would she have to explain that she did NOT need love? Ever since she had broken up with Raph, nobody left her alone. Well, except for Marshall. Thank goodness for Marshall.
8) Betty & Gio (Ugly Betty), Rush - Aly & AJ, 3:14
“I feel so rushed,” Betty confided to Gio. “It’s like everyone’s trying to tell me what to be and how to do things, and I just…” she stopped, gesturing helplessly.
Gio took hold of her hands and smiled at her. “Come on, you know what to do…just be who you are-don’t worry about them.”
Betty smiled at him gratefully. “I know, thanks…I just forget sometimes.”
“Well, if you ever need to be reminded…” Gio said, meeting her gaze seriously. “You know where to find me.”
9) Olivia & Elliot (SVU), Pinch Me - BNL, 4:45
Elliot sat at his desk with his head in his hands, wishing he was anywhere else. Everything was falling into pieces around him-his divorce was affecting him more than he had expected, and it was interfering with his work. He felt a hand on his shoulder and almost smiled, knowing immediately who it was. He lifted his head and turned slightly to see his partner. The look of understanding in Olivia’s eyes somehow calmed him. Maybe things here wouldn’t be so bad after all.
10) Phoebe & Coop (Charmed), The Tide is High - Atomic Kitten, 3:22
Coop knew Phoebe had some problems to work through, what with the ‘final battle’ and all, but that was no reason to give up on love. He was a cupid, after all; if he couldn’t overcome the barriers between them, who could? Despite what Victor said, he was determined to become her number one.
11) Johnny & Sarah (The Dead Zone), Ain’t No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, 2:29
Johnny smiled as his hand brushed the wall, giving him a brief vision. She was coming back to him. He hadn’t been sure this time, but he had hoped. After all, their love wasn’t the kind that just went away. Nothing would keep them apart now.
12) Josh & Donna (The West Wing), Ever Ever After - Carrie Underwood, 3:30
When Donna met Josh, she didn’t know he would be her ever after. He was just another boss, and then a friend. The poor man didn’t know how to act around women, so she took it upon herself to help him out. The first time she realized how she felt about him was when she tried to get him together with Joey. It took him a bit longer, but she helped him with that too.
13) Kyle & Amanda (Kyle XY), Joy to the World - Three Dog Night, 3:18
There were countless reasons why Amanda loved Kyle, but one that she was constantly reminded of was the joy that shone in his eyes all the time. The smallest things made him happy, and just seeing that made her happy.
14) Hermione & Ron (Harry Potter), Lovefool - The Cardigans, 3:20
“You know you love me,” Ron said jokingly. Hermione blushed slightly before recovering and turning her head away. Ron stared at her blankly, feeling like he was missing something.
“Right,” Hermione forced herself to answer lightly. “And Harry and Draco are best mates.”
15) Betty & Archie (Archie comics), Amarillo Sky - Jason Aldean, 3:22
Betty didn’t complain and she didn’t ask Archie why (at least not to his face). She just took what she could get and enjoyed the time she got with him. But sometimes she couldn’t help wishing he would really see her, because she felt that if he did…maybe they could be together at last.
