One of the better things about the internet are the fun facts you run across in random email from others. Granted most forwards are loads of bullocks but some actually seem worth the time you spent reading them. This one for example:

In the 1400's a law was set forth in England that a man was allowed to beat his wife with a stick

Very interesting stuff! I always thought the "mind your p's and q's" was from the dawn of the printing press. Just did a quick Google search and found this "origin" and even more possibilities here.
