Is it possible to switch between the two lines more slowly, giving the reader more time to read each line?

That has been bothering me too. I definitely need to fiddle with things more. In my previous post I said that I wanted to have each word fade in to complete the phrase and then fade out. That would be much more complex and I haven't mapped out how to do that yet but I have ideas now and I think I may even be able to execute them. :-)

Do you have any thoughts regarding the font - size, color, style? Is it easy to read? Is there anything (other than the fade effect) that you would change?

I spent some time looking at other icons that have text on them to get a sense for what works and doesn't work on an icon. I think this is a little plain, but sometimes simple is better.

I agree that simple is the way to go. With such a small space to work with, easy-to-read is probably the top priority.

I think the font looks fine, and the color stands out well against the background. I just found it had to read the first time through because it was fading away as I was still reading it.

You did great. I wouldn't have figured out how to do it!! But of course, I don't have the tech savvy that you have. :)

see, I was gonna suggest making the lines appear a little faster. But I read fast. If they miss it, they can always linger a second looking at it. :)

But I think it's pretty sweet!
