It's been a painful week for Clan Bruno.

Last Friday, our daughter, SportyGirl, took the plunge into the big, bad world of braces. There's nothing quite like the dental pain of a brand new mouth full of metal. The book sounds good. I haven't *ehem* sunk my teeth *ehem* into a vampire story for a long time. I'll have to look into it, thanks!

I'm on a kick of reading classics at the moment. I carry a worn printing of Les Miserables around with me to appointments and such. I've been reading Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities at bedtime and finished it last night ("It is a far, far better thing I do..."). Tonight I start Don Quixote!

This weekend is the Highland Festival at RenFest, too - and I'll be busy delivering No. 1 Son to St Cloud State.
