In acting, they tell us to 'play opposites'...it's one of the most basic rules. If you're sad, don't try to be so sad you overplay it, you laugh a little...it makes it more honest by contradiction. I sometimes wonder what gets us where we are. I look around myself, in this beautiful theatre with beautiful people, remember the dirtiness and sweat of Hollywood, and wonder how it could be the ultimate goal.
