Often at my job, I will answer the phone. I *always* answer with "Good Morning/Afternoon, Company Name". Usually this works fine, but there is one guy who always calls on speaker phone. Of course, those who call on speaker are never ever expecting someone to pick up. This is how our conversation went today

Well the funny thing is, my job isn't a customer service position. My company only deals with large scale boat builders, so I never have to deal with stupid customers. The fact that this guy is a distributor and still feels the need to treat whomever answers the phone (which is sometimes my boss) like they are a stupid little receptionist really gets under my skin.

What a prick.

It always is, no? :) That's why I write these things down, so I can look back on it later and laugh, and not feel the need to "accidently" hang up on him when he calls.
