Has anyone ever noticed, that at least in animated comic shows, (and shows like the power rangers) when a group of good guys faces off against a group of bad guys, they are paired off perfectly with their match

The odds work that way because the show needs to keep going. I'm working on a comics-related project now where there will be instances of the odds getting changed up. The main hero in some of the short (1-3 page) stories, "The Gray Ghost", dies in the first comic. By the fourth adventure, we'll have seen as many people take up the mantle of the Gray Ghost.
