Okay, so far as I can tell your argument is that... someone else will take his place, so we shouldn't have bothered. I'm not going to argue that we're not here under false pretenses because I believe that we are. There were no weapons of mass destruction. We got here with the intentions of finding them, there were none, we were mistaken, and in ( Read more... )

G.I. Juice, way to go!! I’m glad you could send such an articulate rebuttal and not resort to name calling and ‘you’re an idiot’ argument that some people may have. Kudos on your little rant to the American people, I hope some of them listen. I’m proud to sign my name to my opinion!

My name is mom, and I feel sorry for you. You have nothing to believe in, what a sad life you must live. I was really offended that YOU could say that to my son. I love you Jared.

i know this debate is pretty much closed. but since websense is being a lesser bitch i thought i'd get on the ol' live journal and give my two cents. stealing from lyon's comment, i agree that one lunatic is better than two. the clincher is the huge moral drop. imagine one of the nine supreme court judges getting assassinated during a federal hearing. that judge would get replaced but pressure would be put on the remainding judges. it might alter their decisions (i would hope not but this is just a hypothetical situation). by eliminating Zarqawi we might just be cutting another "head" off of a hydra, and allowing more "heads" to pop up. but doing this is keeping the beast at bay.

mad props to jared the wordsmith and the battle camel.

one love,

This is only anonymous because I could not figure out how to do it the other way. My name is Jackie Feuerlein and I too feel the need, as a mother of one of your friends and fellow soldiers to comment. As a veteran myself I can tell you that you will never be able to convince some couch sitting candy ass that there are higher causes than what's on Comedy Centeral that day. Some of us are born with it, some of us learn it in basic training. We have chosen to live for a higher cause. We don't have to brag or boast, yell or scream, or, when it comes down to our opinion, we don't have to sign it anonymous. Is the war right or wrong? We know that it does not come down to right or wrong, black or white.....what a soldier does is what is necessary. A soldier does what most people could not even dream of doing or sacrifice. The anonymous writer needs to step back, look at their life, their environment and decided if they accomplish anything that is necessary. I sincerely hope so for their sake.
