Home again, finally, though work calls sooner than later. It's amazing how quickly you can feel disconnected to a place when the world yanks you away...and even more amazing when you get to the end of the day and all it takes is the door closing behind you to cut through all that disconnect ( Read more... )

For those who've never tried it, I highly recommend taking the drive up Interstate 5 in the middle of the night.

Though I've never taken the 5 all the way up to Seattle, I can say that it's by far the best highway to be on, if in the middle of the night, you happen to find yourself in a car on a highway.

Actually, take it as my having computer problems again; they should be worked out by the end of the day and I'll be back after, knock on wood. Not my month at all, September.
