There are four of them.
One, it's safe to say, is likely not L or even an alternate version of him, due to this bit of stupidity from their part. He's nothing like L, either. The double he speaks of is likely him, due to this conversation in which he is referred to as B, particularly when taking into consideration the pattern that there seem to be only two versions of every person in this place at one time. I haven't yet spoken to the first B, but the second B could be fun to play with. He had me fooled for a while, to be honest. He's the one most like L that I've met here - who are, it seems, her and him, and by process of extremely obvious elimination, the L from my world would be the latter. And I thought so for most of our conversation, until he said this. Though he is definitely an L, something has evidently happened to him to cause such a dramatic change. Still, it's hard to tell between that and the truth in this place. Honestly.
That female L is infuriating, to put it plainly. I can't believe it's come to this. Better be worth it.
Misa, however, is being surprisingly cooperative. I can't say I'm displeased. The same can't be said for Ryuk, but this is hardly a shock. Let's hope he's amused enough with my present situation and doesn't make it more difficult. Hope being the operative word.
Meanwhile, I've found the people C.C. mentioned as being from my world, though they are too unfamiliar to be alternates as she suggested. They're likely from the future. I'll be keeping tabs on them as well as their possible doubles, who as far as I can tell are him and him.
Inconvenient, yes, but certainly interesting.
Speaking of doubles, I am extremely curious as to the alternates who arrived before me - this Raito in particular.

This Nate you told me about - I realize you are close to him, but please try to be on your guard. There's something about him that doesn't sit well with me, and I'm worried for your safety. He could potentially be using you, Misa. I'm sure you saw his latest entry - I'll be replying to that soon, so please don't comment for the moment. The reply will be visible to you. Please don't be alarmed by what I've just told you - feel free to continue whatever relationship you had with him, but try to keep your conversations concerning Kira to a minimum and lie, convincingly, if need be. I know you'll be able to pull both off well.

I realize that under normal circumstances I am not to attempt to contact you, but considering the welcome that you were given, I am concerned for your well-being. As you can see, L is still hunting us here. The notebook will be of no use to us while the cuffs are fully functioning, I am certain you know, but our enemies have ways of harming us. This puts us at a disadvantage.
Also, be wary of a man named Szayel-Aporro Grantz. He has an unhealthy interest in the Death Note, but I do not think he knows which of us possess one.
