My Life as a Japanese Beetle

My life as a Japanese beetle began with my mother, she laid me in the turf about a month ago. She was a last year beetle and dug down beneath the turf to escape the cold hardness that comes at the end of time. She dug deep and survived into the new age. Yep, looking at the brown patches of grass in the neighbor's yard. Mine must not be too tasty as they have left me alone. Just figured that if I'd been born a JB, I'd probably end up in someone's trap. JML
