Nice. CMH and caseworkers, in their infinite wisdom, have secured and provided a cell phone to C. Now he doesn’t have to wait to get home to call EMS, 911, RadioShack and others, he can bother them on the go. His past performance with his home phone (blocked long distance and many calls to 911) is of no concern. His financial position must be good

I don't mean to diminish your concerns with how our tax dollars are spent (at all) because I hear ya! How about a nice amount of $71,000 (it's more than that, that's the amount I'm aware of) being dumped into the economy on "whatever you can figure out to spend it on for them in the next 30 days!" (Assets can not exceed $2000 without jeopardizing their benefits... SSI, Medicaid, etc.) The recipients of the money were victims of theft, a theft that occurred over a span of at least 2 years. In my opinion they were victims again, having to "spend" (pronounced "waste") those large amounts of money within 1 month.

Time will tell with C's cell. Huh?
