Ruminations

I bet one could write a pretty lengthy dissertation comparing and contrasting southern rap and turn of the century megaphone crooning. If one were so inclined.

I love graphic design and I'm totally satisfied with where my life is going right now. This is a big deal for me.

Explain the first paragraph, please.

Congrats regarding the second paragraph. That's pretty much how I feel right now, verbatim, except replace graphic design with religious studies.

Have you seen the megaphone crooners sketch on Mr. Show? That's mostly what I was referring to. Mainly the use of new "inventions" and trends (see my now playing) for song ideas.

Yeah it's a crazy feeling, and it's a new one for me. I feel focused and the future seems to be getting clearer. It's never really happened to me before. Religious studies, wow. What's that like? I went to a lecture a few nights ago about the idea of Mary Magdalene, specifically in Rogier Van Der Weyden's Deposition, being metaphorically pregnant. The implication being that Jesus "impregnated" her when he got her to repent. Pretty interesting, I thought.

I've only seen like an episode or two of Mr. Show. I'm a big David Cross fan, but for some reason, the show never really seemed too funny to me ( ... )
