Yesterday marks six years to the day that I've lived in the Dallas area.

On June 24th, 2002 I showed up at newslacker's apartment in my 1982 white Saab 900, filled to the brim with all my belongings. It was about 4AM and I'd been driving for 16 hours straight. The Oregon economy had a 9% unemployment rate at the time and DFW had the only job for me out of

Approximately 36 of my 39 years of this lifetime I've been in our around Dallas. And I still loathe "the asphyxiating atmosphere we call 'summer.'"

"Dallas is not my favorite place in the world, but on every anniversary I have to aknowledge the serious growing up that I've done while here."

Everything has the potential to be a learning experience, and you wouldn't be the groovy person you are today without the past 6 years of living here. :)
