I wrote the first half of this when I was waiting to meet him and have "the talk". Which, was excrutiatingly difficult, primarily because he doesn't tend to understand how much restraint I've applied, how much conflict just being around him (on occasion)causes. He and I bantered through an entire half hour of conversation about nepitism before I had to remind him we had something important to discuss.

I told him I loved him, wished I didn't, and in the interests of self preservation couldn't be around him for a while. I told him that he was the only part of my life that made me doubt myself, and feel stupidly and I couldn't allow myself to be some silly puppydog when it regarded him anymore.

He said he never thought of it that way and had a hard time seeing things from my perspective (as always). I said thats always been the problem.

You're right. And in a small way, I feel infinitley better about having discussed that (and on another having broken ranks with him) but in a larger way...I'm still trying to figure out the implications. Which might take some serious work.
