I think he has something unique other seiyu can't dream of, but he doesn't show up in the front scenes as often as he deserves. He might be too flippant to survive in a Japanese society, which value uniformity to uniqueness, I'm afraid.
He's in DramaCd "Hana wa Sakuka" did you listen to it?

He played the third wheel.T.T
As much as I like Hidaka Shouko work, that one is too stagnant for me.
I wished he get more main cast.
I mean, most of his are either third wheel or best friend of the character.
I want him to do more like the likes of "Kanbenshitekure" or "Cherry", of course I loved him a lot in "Utsukushii koto " series. That was the one that get me hooked to him. I didn't realize how special he is until that title. Of course, his performance in "Tight Rope" was adequate and I must say, in "Aozora" I don't really like him. and his act in "Nageki no Vampire" was bad (even tho they have MikiShin), but maybe it is the story fault. Reaaaaalllly wish for him to act together with the seniors like Koyasu, Midorin, Inouekazuhiko, etc.
