This book sounds so good 1milli December 30 2009, 23:48:16 UTC
I love Konohara-sensei's work, her stories are much deeper and more creative than a lot of other BL authors. I hope more of them get licensed and released in english in book stores *fingers crossed*

Hello 1milli-san! Thanks for visiting my journal. Yeah, right, some of Konohara sense's works are translated into English and I read them all, but unfortunately, those titles are not the best ones of her work, I think. Because her novel has certain quality, some say she can do well as a novelist even out of the BL world, there won't be many professional translators, who are happy to work on with BL titles, and at the same time, be able to translate Konohara's skilled words properly. Till her another title is licensed, I hope you can enjoy them with my translations...
Wish you a Happy New Year!

I find that her stories are unique, in that it explores not just the "up"s but more so the "down"s of being in love. But her plot sometimes gets very depressing too ;_;

Hi まだまだちゃん、
How did your new year start?
Her plot is almost always depressing, because of that, there are many enthusiastic fans of her works.

ちわ~ がばかねちゃん ^_^

It started quite nicely, thanks ^-^ So I'm hoping that all year long, it will be nice~ How about you?

Yes... depressing indeed. I can't count the number of times Utsukushii koto made me cry ;_;

I have read her Sleep series too and "Don't Worry Mama" (English versions) and wasn't really that enthusiastic about it. It was only when I listened to Utsukushii koto that I came to love her writing. She really went deep into the characters and the story in that one. ♥

*bumps* I love Konohara sensei's novels and also of Hidaka sensei's works. Ah lucky you! You can read raws.

This novel looks serious but I think this is beautiful too. I wish someone will be able to translate it here in LJ.

Quite a number of BL novels are published here in Japan, but sad to say, there won't be many translators who are willing to work on BL materials... If people are enough skilled to translate novels, then they might work on other kind of Japanese novels, such as light novels, I guess.

I'm now translating an additional story of Utsukushii Koto called "Aisuru Koto." It's got 68 pages and a very sweet story. I'm not sure if fans overseas will welcome my translation, so I'll be making a short entry of some pages once the the Drama CD translation is finished, and if I was able to get some favorable comments, then I'll continue to work on it.

Do you like Yoneda Kou???
