Things are going really well right now with me and Jon...lol even though we aren't 'technically' together. Its a strange feeling I guess...I really like him and spending time with him, and I don't get that uncomfortable feeling I get around guys when I know they like me, and yet even though I like hanging out with him alot, its not like my life

People think that by keeping others at a distance, it will hurt less when they leave. This is a false assumption. The feelings are still there, and people usually end up regretting that they didn't take advantage of the opportunity when they had the chance. Not that I'm saying go out and tell him you want to be his girlfriend, but it's something to think about.
