I just re-watched Judgement Day. Yes, I have been stalling watching the episode again in its entirity. I was struck at the end with what were my first thoughts upon seeing the finale. Agree because really, television by origin and history was escapism, entertainment and we attach ourselves to characters we can empathize and cheer for. The characters, not the plot, often makes the show IMHO. Why mess with something you know was working.
This favored trend of "shaking things up" in a TV show is usually to get new viewership, yet in doing this, I wonder if people in TV land realize they risking losing their loyal current viewership.
Lately, I'd been dreading every new season of my shows because you never know...
