Fnargh, memes. These are the rules.

1. Go to your bookcase, get 9 of your books from it. It doesn't matter if they're from the same writer, but try and make them from a different series ( Read more... )

4. "Atlas Shrugged", Ayn Rand.

I had an epic discussion about the story a few weeks back with someone despite having never read it myself.

5. A Discworld novel of some sort, though I couldn't name which. "Colour of Magic" perhaps?

Wait, you had an epic discussion about a book you've never read? What the heck was it about, specifically?

And as for 5, nah.

With someone who HAD read it. It was a very odd discussion, that's the best way I can describe it.

I'm not about to go digging through all my Discworld books for 5. And on re-reading, I did a little research and realised I -do- know 1, but the research invalidates the guessing~

Hahaha, that's awesome.

And yes, most people know #1. It just needs refreshing sometimes.

Without cheating, the only one I know is number four--Atlas Shrugged. I feel like I should know 1, 3, and 5--they sound familiar, though I haven't read any of them.

(cheated--only knew the book that 1 came from, and only knew the author of 5).

If you had the book from 3, I would be surprised. It's one of those finds you can get at the random book sales in the UC, you know the one.

Is 7 perhaps "Witches Abroad"?

It's going to be interesting finding out what other books there are there. :D

You are correct, sir. And yes, some of these books will be interesting. I'm kinda sad that no one has gotten number 9 yet.
