Hey, I waded through the first two chapters of the Andy Martin book...and actually came away with some useful info...shocker. Most of it was shite, but...it seems Napoleon wrote to his father in...crap...can't remember the year...but while he was at Brienne I think, asking for his father to send a copy of Boswell's book. So, you were definitely right on your hunch there about that one!
