and...are they cooked? or are they raw? i don't know much about beets as I have only ever experienced the aforementioned canned abominations...so please forgive my ignorance.
On a marginally related note, I've recently become addicted to fresh mango...and it's been two days since my last fix due to stock quality issues. I am hurting. Bad.
Tomorrow I will get mangoes, regardless of ripeness...and, also, papayas...this is my one goal for the day. Mangoes and papayas. And god help anyone who gets in my way.
i'm a fan of mango. but it has to be ripe for sure. ok, the beets: HAVE to be fresh, i absolutely hate canned beets. so much it make me want to throw up. but fresh beets, boiled, are just yummy. raw beets just don't sound appealing at all.
i can take or leave papaya. though passion fruit is fun to eat.

i've never even tasted a beet. the juice makes lettuce taste funny, though, whenever they're in a salad?

are they better than the canned kind?
'cause I cannot bear the canned kind.
