I didn't think they'd actually do it...
Me neither! I thought that maybe after a long struggle she'd beat the cancer... but no; they had to kill off one of the best characters...

Of course they're going to lose a lot of fans. When Dana hadn't came out yet, I could relate to her, because I'm not so out yet (bu I'm 16 ^^). We have seen how Dana as a character has developed in matters of self-acceptance and self-estime, how she went from dropping a relationship because of being affraid of what they'd think, to an open relationship (no, two relationships). It was great to be there and witness everything, and the fact that she was dealing with cancer made it more and more interesting even - she was a top character... *sighs*
And then there would be lots of sex.
