first: season 2 i hear a juliana theory song... not that they like totally rock.. but wierd.
second: season 3 the episode im currently watching.... a RILO KILEY SONG... im not kidding you.
i was like holy fazolly what is this... isn't that wierd...
well back in 1999 dawsons creek was way way ahead.

"Dawson's Creek" was a great showcase for new bands. At the end of each episode, the announcer would say "Tonight's episode featured music by ..." and they would show the album of said artist. And yes, I am a nerd.
