Summary: In which Takumi continues his research and learns something he wasn’t expecting
Notes: Wondering how much of the advent is going to be taken up by Takumi getting rejected…
“It happened because… Was it the day he came over to talk to me about joining YFC?” Shinya looked over at his wife, who nodded her head to confirm.
“Yes, I believe so.” Aya smiled gently at her husband.
Takumi sat in the couple’s dining room, drinking the hot tea provided to him by the former Morning Musume member and chewing his way through a couple crackers too many.
“He brought over a few bottles of really nice wine, perhaps with the intention to make it easier to get Shinya to agree, but we both thought it sounded like a fun idea right off the bat,” Aya continued thoughtfully. “So instead, the wine somehow brought up the fact that I’d kissed him.”
There was a tidbit that Takumi had not been expecting. He had come to ask Shinya, but had not considered that he might be adding the drummer’s wife’s name to the list as well.
“And we’d probably gotten through a bottle of wine each at that point, so naturally Shinya got a little jealous,” Aya covered her mouth with her hand as she laughed at the memory. “So Gackt said that if Shinya was jealous of the fact that I had gotten to kiss him, he could easily fix that inequality for us.”
Takumi had been tapping out notes on his phone under the table, but his eyes snapped up in response to the last statement. “Wait,” he looked at Shinya, who was smiling knowingly. “You were jealous that your wife got to kiss him? Not that he kissed your wife?”
“Well, it was from before we were married…” Shinya reasoned. “And besides, who wouldn’t want to say that they’ve been kissed by Gackt?”
Takumi hung his head. “Yeah… tell me about it.”
