Questions and Answers pt.2
“Want to come up for a nightcap?” Chacha asked as they approached his apartment.
“Nah, not tonight. I’m tired, I think I’ll just go home,” You replied with a weak smile.
Chacha shrugged. “Ok. We’ll have to get together again soon and talk about Christmas, ok?”
You agreed with another tired smile, gave Chacha a quick kiss on the cheek, and left.
Cha rode the elevator up to his apartment, stepped inside and toed off his boots. Then, without even stopping to turn on the lights, he went to the window. You should have been out of sight by then, but Chacha saw him standing just a few meters down the street with his hand outstretched, looking up at the sky. He’d become quieter and quieter as they’d walked home. Cha knew You had something more than just snow on his mind, and he had a pretty good idea what that something might be. Not that he would meddle or anything, of course.
He pulled his phone from his pocket and tapped speed dial.
Gackt’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He set down his wine, pulled it out, and glanced at the display before answering. “Hey, Cha, what’s up?”
“It’s snowing.”
“Yeah, so?”
“It’s December and it’s snowing. Think about it.”
Chacha hung up.
