Summary: In which Takumi thinks he’s got it all figured out
Notes: Completely unrelated, but I think Takumi needs to spend less time with G, going by all his recent “modeling” selfies
Takumi slammed shut his laptop hard enough that Val literally jumped.
“Oh my god, what the hell was that?!” the drummer exclaimed.
“I got it! I know!” Takumi could envision the clouds above him opening up to let in bright streams of light. Even though they were inside. It didn’t matter. He realized who the one person was who Gackt hadn’t kissed, the one other person in all of Japan… Of course, how had he not realized it before? All this time! The answer should have been so easy to see. It answered all his questions. Washed away all his heartache. Fuck the spreadsheet, who cared! Because the one other person who was missing from the list was the one that everyone knew Gackt wanted to kiss most of all. And, if Gackt hadn’t kissed the person he most wanted to, maybe the reason he hadn’t kissed Takumi yet was because… he actually wanted to? Holy shit. He wants to kiss me! That’s why he hasn’t! It all made sense. All the wondering and suffering and tears, if it all came down to this then- “Val, I know why he hasn’t kissed me!”
“Because you’re way too desperate?”
“I gotta make sure! I need to be certain. This is life-changing. Val, do you realize what this means?” Takumi grabbed Val’s face, pressing the drummer’s cheeks together until he resembled a hamster.
“Uhh… that you’ve officially lost it?” Val mumbled through squished lips.
“I think he’s in Japan now. I can find him. I know which studio he records at, I’ve got contacts…” Takumi muttered to himself, letting go of Val’s face. His hands were shaking in excitement. “If it’s true… If Gaku-nii hasn’t kissed him either… This is going to be the best Christmas ever…”
“Who are you talking about?!” Val didn’t even know why he was asking. Encouraging Takumi at this stage in his madness couldn’t possibly be a good idea.
“The one other person who Gackt has never laid his lips upon!”
“Your mom?”
“Hyde!!!”

AN: Will Takumi find the answer he’s hoping for? Is his hope in vain? Is this all leading to some sort of pay off? Do I have any idea how that might come about? I don’t know! But Takumi’s saga continues tomorrow~
