made in paint shop pro 9 might not be translatable if you dont have color balance



feel free to ask any questions im not a pro at writing tutorials so i may've missed something

first off do what you have to do to your icon as far as resizing
sharpening

now go to layers- new adjustment layer - color balance
midtones- -50 0 0
shadows- 0 -10 10

set #c0c0c0 to burn i set mine to 60 but depending on the image
it might need more or less

now go to layers- new adjustment layer - brightness
and contrast layer and set it to 7 for brightness
and 15 for contrast

last but not least go to layers- new adjustment layer
- hue saturation and lightness layer ans set the master
saturation for 15 for some subtle coloring
