I experimented with a good number of headphones in the past few years and I finally settled on two headphones that really stand out above the rest.

if you can afford it, the Bose QuietComfort is absolutely amazing.

I tried a pair of those in Vegas while waiting to board my plane. I agree, they were amazing, but at $300 at the time I wasn't ready to buy into it. By comparison, the Sony MDR-D777 headphones are going for $30 on amazon right now. They started at $120 when Jenn bought them for me.
