Debbie Stoller claims invention to stitch and bitchs in her first book. I think SFSE, which is a small business, could have a case because it is definitely on their website for a long time like 1994.
This has been everywhere. if you can see my comments on their site before they get deleted, I have left question as to the merit of where the term stitch and bitch came from/

Anyhoo, I mentioned the scandal tonight at the TAPESTRY CRAFT STITCH AND BITCH CAFE, WHICH IS SO FAST, SO EASY, AND SO CLEVER, and everyone was outraged. We were all using Stitch and Bitch way before Debbie Stoller's books, and certainly no one in Sydney's ever been to some crappy rinky-dink sewing website. Fiona's definitely interested in a button, Amy, so count her in. I can probably sell a couple others too.
