I just got a call from my vet. Our beloved little cat Timmy has end stage renal failure. This is a crushing blow to Mike and me. Timmy is our cute cat, our sweet cat, the one that will curl up next to your ear in bed and sleep that way. There are a few things I can do, but once the kidney tissue is dead, it's dead. The body doesn't make anymore. I

I don't know of any alterative treatments for renal failure, but i know that special diet and fluids can help for a little while. It would be worth a try to improve his quality of life for a little while.

The fluids aren't hard to do if you have someone good to show you the first time or two, esp with a sweet and patient kitty.
