Astronomy Picture of the Day_An oldie but a goodie!

I going to try and do an Astronomy Monday kind of thing, with either photos or little NASA vids because somethng interesting seems to be always going on.
          While this is older, from 2012, this photo of our neighbor, Venue crossing our parent star, never gets old. So stunning!

Wow, gorgeous! I think I would have preferred that they stay with some more traditional colors, though. By using blue, I don't think it really looks like our sun.

The blue is just seeing through another wave-length I imagine but you are right, it sure does look different than our lovely sun normally does.
