So I happened to stumble upon the "Open a drawer" prompt...
Characters: Felix/Dee.
Spoilers: Set after "Guess what's coming to dinner".
Disclaimer: Not mine.
AN: This isn't my native language. I don't even get the difference between British and American spelling. And I frankly don't know anybody I could ask to beta. So excuse any mistakes. :-)
Recapitulation
When she opens the drawer looking for the clothes Felix asked her to get, a single sheet falls to the ground.
Dee picks it up, intending to put it back and to get back to sickbay, ASAP - she wants to be done before she has to cry, Felix wouldn't want her to cry -, but something catches her eye. So she has a closer look, and her eyes start burning again. It's a sheet of music.
Dee doesn't know anything about music, and she always thought the same was true for Felix. Here it is, though, proof for the song she heard at sickbay minutes before, crumbled and torn and maybe forgotten long before the war. Narrow black notes tumble over each other, and characters - they look like math characters, pang of recognition there, but they aren't -, and then completely foreign words like rall. or molto or da capo. It doesn't have a title. It's not a first page.
They've been running from the cylons for five years, and still, she thought they had time. Sure, she didn't think she knew all about Felix already, but she thought they had time.
Tears welling up, Dee puts the sheet back and shuts the drawer hard. She promised not to cry, and Felix is waiting for her, waiting and singing.
There isn't a single note on this sheet she can read.
