This afternoon I got an e-mail from a student wanting to know if there was class tomorrow (yes) and whether I was going to show the class my card tricks. Apparently she's friends with a couple of former students of mine, and they've been asking on and off whether I've shown the class my card tricks

Ralph P. had a card trick he showed us once upon a time in his Graph Theory class. I can't remember the trick, though, or I'd certainly share.

The ternary deck of 27 is a good one, though.

maybe you could take the face cards and aces from a standard deck, and have the class find a pair of 4x4 MOLS
