good luck with all the politics going on at work. my mom's been a public school teacher for almost 20 years so i feel the strain you are having. do keep neutral and be proud that you dont want to harm your students, just keep a positive attitude to those around you and it will be noticed and appreciated.....as for your supervisor (im assuming its the dept chair) i would reccomend setting up a personal appt with him at the end of the semester so you two can reflect on your position and the department. look for improvements on both parts. if you approach it professionally im sure you two can build a better relationship that wont continue to strain other dept relations.....but good luck!!! just keep positive and the more you show your students how much you care and want them to succeed, the more postive results you will see all around!
