My mom has been irritated with her laptop for months now. It's pretty old, and acting very erratic. Yesterday, she finally bought a new one.

Has she even unpacked it yet? No. Instead she's using her old computer and swearing loudly about how crappy it is.

I've noticed something about my mom that she doesn't like big changes when it comes to things like this. When she got a new computer she was so nervous to use it because she thought it would be massively different from her old one. It was but for the better. But my mom only use the computer for the bare minimum, paying bills, hemnet, and playing card games.

Maybe you can throw the old one out when she's not looking or something. Just to get her started on the new one. :P

That's more my grandmother's problem. For an 80-year-old, I suppose she's technically savvy, but she's really nervous around technology. When she had to update to a laptop with Windows8, she still kept using her old broken computer with XP for the longest time. She went online with the new one, and played solitaire with the old one. I tried to make it look as non-threatening as I could by downloading a skin that would make it look like it had Windows XP, but then the Windows 10 upgrade rolled around, and the skin stopped working, and she thought the computer was broken and freaked out again. As long as all her icons stay exactly where they are, she's good to go though.

Mom is much more relaxed around computers. She's an administrator, so she does a lot of work on her job desktop. She just got weird priorities and enjoys being angry.
