i think that if the gpa system is going to be used by all colleges (or at least almost all colleges) that it should be the same all around. at my school you can't get above 4.0- even with an honors course. arrgh. so you can always go down and do worse, but once you reach 4.0 you can never get better.

You're right, they really ought to. I like this system because you can get a B or two and still end up with a 4.0. It makes more sense.

yeah, because i've gotten A's in every class except for one, but that one class bumps your gpa down so much. and i've taken an honor's course (Biology of Wimmin with Honors) and to give you credit for the honors part, they just put an HA instead of just A on your transcript. what difference does that really make? only if someone decided to read through each individual grade i got and then thought- oh wow! this persyn got one HA! she's great!
