This is my first post here, so let me begin by saying I am very happy to have found this community and hope I won’t irritate everyone with my endless questions about Scottish Gaelic (attribute it to an obsessive desire to get things right).

TAIC Lesson 6 (http://www.taic.me.uk/taic.html), the fifth word of the vocabulary list is Luath and it's pronounced lu-a, as you supposed.

TAIC is a very good site for learning.

You may not be able to get it to work properly if you use a Firefox browser. I use Windows Internet Explorer and it does all right but the site proclaims :--
This site was designed for use with Miscrosoft Internet Explorer.
There are known display problems with other browsers.

I’m using Internet Explorer, but it wasn’t displaying the links to the Lessons and stuff on the side. I had to install Java to make the links work and RealAudio for the sound file, and now it works :)

You might like to put Fòram na Gàidhlig on your list of sites. It's normally quite busy and help 24/7 is usually available for learners.
