Questions about Kaere/Kaede

CHARACTER :: Kaere/Kaede Kimura
ALLOWED :: Pretty much anything? That includes pushing the button that makes her snap, and reading her mind-- both of them. Ping me if you have questions.
DISALLOWED :: Badtouch without permission*. Death. Trying to stay away from the latter for sure.

* To be granted at my discretion.

NOTE :: Kaere/Kaede's MPD is an end result of the dilemma of conflicting cultures, and which is appropriate for each. She has very bad memories of being taunted by classmates overseas for her inability to adapt to foreign norms.

Kaere - The prevailing personality. Arrogant, easily angered, aggressive, likes to threaten to sue. Also has a tendency to pick on those she thinks are beneath her/won't fight back. The type of girl who wants to be free to wear what she wants-- which includes cute panties and short skirts-- but gets offended by the attention that style of dress invites. Pretty much the stereotype of an American, incapable of adapting to cultural differences, and instead criticizes everything that differs from what she's used to. Has a soft spot for charity cases (ref: donating to illegal immigrant classmate, Sekiutsu Maria Tarou).

Kaede - Comes out when triggered by a behest to "go home" or "return (where she came from)." The idealized Japanese woman. Ladylike, quiet, modest, subservient and dramatic (in one episode, when she felt her love could not be requited, she attempted suicide). The type of woman who'd walk 3 steps behind her man, and willingly die for a cause or for Love.

Smack her on the head, and Kaere will regain control of the body.

Artistic License: Kaere is from a gag manga. Characters of this type are more caricature than anything else, but to make her more than a one trick pony, the mun feels she needs "depth."

Kaere's MPD is atypical of the condition. However, it should be safe to assume that Kaede would be the protective type of personality. In general, she is as non-combative as Kaere is aggressive. As she is the idealized Japanese woman, the mun would say that her hobbies would include traditional Japanese activities, such as Ikebana, and tea ceremony. In Canon, Kaere is shown playing the guitar (as a nod to the similarly named Kimura Kaela), but she can't sing. Kaede is probably more adept musically, but the mun is keeping that limited to traditional Japanese music.

As a well-traveled girl, who should be able "to tell [a person] off in 5 different languages," the mun has made Kaere a polyglot (languages include German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and English). Her knowledge of legal jargon is artistic license, but feasible, as she seriously did sue her Teacher, Itoshiki Nozomu (though they settled out of court.)
