Smallville
What is it about Smallville?
After the first season I would occasionally watch an episode but mostly not. No matter how much I liked the idea of a relationship between Lex and Clark, some of the situations and set ups just didn't work for me. I understand the producers and writers desire to accomplish their viewer and marketing goals by catering to the generally public's want of fairytale relationships, but Lana Lang was a waste of space and everyone's fascination (no matter what the cause) made no sense.
However, now that the show is ended I find myself actively looking for stories. Thank goodness for rec lists, and the fact that the Smallville Slash Archive works part of the time, and for author's migrating their stuff to A03. A lot of the lj's are friends locked these days and its kind of sad to miss out.
And Smallville? Its mostly about the MR. I started looking for Clex, and that is still my fav, but I am willing to read most stuff as long as its Lex centered. Even if its Lex and Lana.
